Growing Harmonies Music Therapy Services

Welcome to Growing Harmonies Music Therapy Services. I offer individual and group music therapy sessions for children and their caregivers. I use evidence-based music therapy practices to enhance your child’s cognitive, emotional, and social skills. Each session is carefully crafted to accommodate diverse abilities and learning styles to promote holistic development in a fun and engaging way.

Each group session will nurture meaningful bonds between caregivers and their little ones, ages 3-5. Families will learn to use music as a tool for emotion regulation, stress reduction, for enhancing communication and social skills, and for encouraging play.

About Me: Kristin Kummer, MT-BC

With over 20 years experience working with children and their caregivers, I am passionate about the importance of early childhood intervention and the positive role music can play in it. I started out as a teacher of early childhood music and movement, working and playing with classes of infants through 5-years-olds and their caregivers. Witnessing and taking part in the joy music brought to these families inspired me to become a music therapist. I studied music at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, and then studied music therapy at Baldwin Wallace, near Cleveland, Ohio. In my 15+ year career as a board-certified music therapist, I have worked with individuals on the autism spectrum and various other diagnoses ages 3 years old through adults. I love working with people of all ages.
